By the year 1914, Mr. Mohammadtaher Chitsaz established his company under the name of "Chitsaz and Sons" in Shushtar, south of Iran.

His sons continued his activities to develop the business and in year 1973, this company started its work officially in Tehran under the name of Chitsaz and Sons and developed its activities in the field of steel, tire and tubes.

Since 1991, the focus of Chitsaz family has been on steel trade, and in 2006, "Asian Steel Trade Development Co" was established to develop their overseas activities more. Asia Steel Trade Development Co has been engaged in the import of various types of steel products from Far East and CIS and re-exporting them. Due to expansion of steel production in Iran, the company focused its goal on increasing export level. Since 2017, scope of activity of this company has been more focused on raw materials and semi-finished steel products. Since 2018, due to the need for capital in steel transactions, in cooperation with Bank Saderat Iran and Bank Eghtesad Novin, the company has activated financial support system for its customers.
